Word Romagnola Cattle Company is a family operation providing Romagnola genetics to ranchers throughout the United States. My wife and I, Arba and Shannon Word, are the founders, joined with my folks and oldest daughter’s family. Our operation services the High Plains of Texas from Higgins, Texas as well as reach further east with our Loyal, Oklahoma location. Great Plains Breeders holds the bulk of our frozen genetic selections.
The thick, muscular attributes peaked my interest in the breed. After introducing it into our commercial herd, I was extremely pleased with the results and wanted to provide other cattle breeders with an opportunity to experience the gains the breed offers. This is why I became a Registered Romagnola breeder.
